Always test a cleaning method in an inconspicuous area before broader use. Product-specific instructions should be followed when they are more restrictive.
We recommend using felt pads on all objects that come in contact with furniture. Certain vinyl and rubber products can chemically react with the finish on wood if left in contact for extended periods of time. Coasters, place mats, notebook covers, and rubber or plastic feet found on many accessories can also damage wood surfaces. To avoid indentations caused by writing instruments, always use a non-vinyl blotter or writing pad.
To best preserve your furniture, it is recommended to place it in a stable, controlled atmosphere and positioned to avoid direct sunlight. The ideal climate is 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit with 30 to 55 percent relative humidity.

Geiger’s leathers are premium quality, full-grain European hides that are aniline-through dyed and protected with a light top finish. These leathers can be cleaned with a mild solution of soap and water and dried with a soft cloth.
Leather is a natural material that is porous and not waterproof. Stain-causing substances, food, or other protein-based components should not be spilled on leather, as they may cause permanent discoloration. Leather should receive regular dusting in order to avoid its pores filling with dust or other grime.
Special attention should be given to furniture with marble tops. Marble is a porous material and should be protected from spills, especially acidic liquids, since these may cause severe staining.
Most stone surfaces can be cleaned by following the same steps recommended for wood products. Lemon juice and other acids can etch the surface of the stone. Many stains are difficult or impossible to remove, so please take caution.

Glass can be cleaned with a standard glass cleaner that does not contain ammonia or vinegar. Always use a soft, clean, grit-free cloth to reduce the risk of scratching the surface. We recommend a microfiber cloth and not paper towels. On glass tabletops, avoid extremely hot materials and all caustic substances.
