Paknya earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in New York. His career in the furniture industry has earned him a reputation as a fine artist in wood and metal furniture.

Growing up in the cultural mecca of Tehran, Iran, Paknya gained a keen appreciation for the arts from his parents. He has always had an eye for clean lines. Good penmanship was mandatory in Iranian schools during his youth. Consequently, he developed an affinity for calligraphy at an early age.
Paknya is Director of Special Projects for Geiger, overseeing showroom design and the development of new finishes. As a member of the Geiger Design Team, Paknya has contributed to several furniture lines—including the versatile MP Tables.
