With its warm, contemporary sensibility, Geiger Elsi brings a more residential feel to the office while supporting the full range of conferencing functions. It uses floor space more efficiently, and makes it possible to create collaborative areas in private offices and small meeting rooms—a result of creatively considering those spaces. The system offers an enormous array of choices. Tables are available in standing, sitting, or lounge heights. Legs can be metal or wood; tops are available in wood or linoleum with a linoleum ledge, in a wide variety of shapes: round, half-round, square, radiused triangle, half-racetrack, and trapezoid.

With Geiger Elsi, designer Jess Sorel wanted to achieve something beyond the typical corporate meeting room setting, bringing warmth and, more importantly, an embedded intelligence to these spaces. Aesthetically, Sorel chose an eclectic approach with Geiger Elsi, employing a range of types within one system. All the elements share a common aesthetic, allowing them to group easily and work together without physically connecting, contributing to a more relaxed environment and a sense of continuity in private spaces that often lack these qualities.

The system provides power concealed behind a sliding lid, offering connections for permanent needs (speaker phones, etc.), as well as temporary ones (such as guests’ laptops). Geiger Elsi can cover up power sources from previous systems, thus avoiding expensive electrical work. Versatile, it can accommodate two to 14 people in either of three postures: lounging, conferencing, or standing.
